How do I export to Excel from Lead Velocity?

Please make sure you follow the steps to setup Internet Explorer to work with Lead Velocity before exporting to Excel.

In Lead Velocity, go to the Contacts or Opportunities screen.  Select one or more Contacts or Opportunities and Right-Click on the highlighted items.  You should see an option for "Export to Excel".  If you do not see this option, your manager may have removed this functionality.

A submenu will appear with the following options:

  • Export Selected - Exports the currently highlighted items.
  • Export Current List - Exports the current list view across multiple pages.
  • Export All - Exports all available items.

Choose the submenu item you wish to export.  For this demonstration, choose "Export Selected".  You will be prompted to open or save the file.  Choose SAVE.  If you hear a blip/pop noise instead, please follow the steps to setup Internet Explorer as mentioned at the top.

Save the file to somewhere on your computer where you will remember where you saved it, like the Desktop.  The information will now begin to download.  Once finished, you will be asked if you want to open the file.  You can now choose OPEN.

You will need Excel 2003 compatibility or above to be able to properly read the exported file.
